Overview
Summary
The design concept of this four-star hotel in Sutomore is rooted in a dialogue between landscape, urban context, and contemporary coastal living. Positioned in a dense touristic zone, the building rises vertically as a landmark, maximizing sea views while maintaining a compact footprint that responds to the tight urban fabric. The architectural composition emphasizes contrast and layering. A key driver of the design is orientation toward the Adriatic Sea. Guest rooms and terraces are carefully aligned to frame panoramic coastal views, with generous glazing and continuous balconies acting as transitional spaces between interior comfort and the surrounding landscape. The glass balustrades and open terraces enhance visual permeability, allowing uninterrupted sightlines toward the horizon.
The façade strategy integrates greenery as an essential architectural element. Linear planters embedded within the balconies in the back side of the building contribute to the aesthetics and quality of the floors’ corridors located immediately next to it, during the circulation of visitors. At the lower levels, the hotel engages the public realm through active ground-floor interfaces and leisure amenities. The pool terrace is conceived as a semi-private oasis, enclosed yet visually connected to the landscape, offering a contrast between the dynamic urban frontage and the inward-focused relaxation space. Materials such as stone, textured plaster, and ceramic tiles reinforce durability while maintaining a refined aesthetic appropriate for a high-end hospitality environment.
Overall, the building expresses a contemporary Mediterranean identity—clean lines, functional clarity, and strong connections to views and climate—while establishing itself as a recognizable vertical marker in Sutomore’s coastal skyline.
